SABINE FISCHER
MANAGING PARTNER

After two years in the Strategic Corporate Development department of Rheinmetall AG, Sabine Fischer joined the Transaction Advisory Team of Ernst & Young in Düsseldorf in 2000, where she worked as a manager on numerous financial and commercial due diligence projects for clients from a wide range of industries. In 2004, she joined Ernst & Young's M&A team in London for two years, where she worked on various buy-side and sell-side mandates in the energy supply sector.

Beginning of 2007, she moved to Gothaer Asset Management AG in Cologne, where she took over the management of the private markets portfolio of direct and fund investments together with her colleague Alexander Bode. The two partners actively managed the portfolio for more than six years, working closely with other Group departments such as the middle and back office as well as the legal and tax departments.

Sabine Fischer holds a degree in business administration from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. She also is a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) since 2006.
 

ALEXANDER BODE
MANAGING PARTNER

Alexander Bode worked for two years in strategic management consulting at A.T. Kearney in Düsseldorf, focusing on restructuring and market strategies in the construction and related supply industry.

At CMS, Berlin, Mr. Bode worked for four years on corporate restructurings including management takeovers and M&A. As Head of Corporate Development at J.W. Ostendorf, a paint and varnish producer, he acquired companies throughout Europe and integrated them into the group with dedicated PMI programs, SAP implementation and c-level responsibility.

Beginning of 2007, he moved to Gothaer Asset Management AG in Cologne, where he took over the management of the private markets portfolio together with his colleague Sabine Fischer and developed and implemented a new strategy for the entire portfolio of direct and fund investments. The two partners actively managed the portfolio for more than six years, working closely with other Group departments such as the middle and back office as well as the legal and tax departments

Alexander Bode holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and is a chartered alternative investment analyst (CAIA).
